CRITIC REVIEWS

Aromas of hazelnut cream, green orchard fruit, crisp white peach and spring flowers introduce the 2017 Meursault Les Narvaux, a medium to full-bodied wine with good depth at the core, bright acids and chalky structuring dry extract. It's one of the more reserved wines in this year's collection but it's very promising.

Lower elevation than Les Chenevottes and more sunny. Racked and back to barrel in August. Will spend several months in tank before bottling in May. Creamy pears, less citrusy than the Chassagnes just tasted. A hint of white blossom. Broader in the mouth than the Chassagnes and needs a bit more time to mesh the spicy richness and the fresh acidity. Less finesse here but great length once again. Tension sticks out a little at the moment. (JH)
