Full bottle 1,349 g. Cask sample taken 6 April. 70% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, certified organic. Fermented in concrete tronconic vats. Aged in 45% new oak. Deepest purple-crimson with purple rim. On the palate, concentrated black fruit, slightly savoury/rocky in that darkness, chewy but not astringent tannins. Lovely freshness on the finish to balance the whole, and a gentle fruit sweetness on the finish. (JH)
