The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru is the one cuvee that is more confit on the nose, missing the delineation of other cuvees from Grivot, mulberry and cassis scents. The palate is medium-bodied with a sweet, candied entry, quite fleshy and ripe, fine acidity with vibrant red fruit towards the finish, a little heady but still pleasurable.

Harvested a day or so later than planned - higher alcohol than the other 2020s. Cask sample. Deep ruby; blood orange and quite citrusy on the nose; higher tannic charge and bite. Great power. Set apart from the pack. (MH)
