CRITIC REVIEWS
Neal Martin
The 2021 Richebourg Grand Cru, matured with 50% new oak, has quite a flattering bouquet with black plum, bilberry, and a pinch of white pepper, though it doesn't deliver the complexity you would find in a great growing season. The palate is medium-bodied with pretty firm tannins, slightly peppery. Like the Grands Echezeaux, it just seems content to tread water in the second half, rather than building on its opening. There is (again) a fairly bitter finish.
