Distinguished by a wealth of woody and vanilla notes that are dripping in fruit, Château Cantermerle is a fresh, vibrant wine characterised by crisp tannins. Its soil is laced with silica and gravel eroded from the Pyrenees over thousands of years by the river Garonne - the essence of this sublime, momentous landscape whispers through its distinctive and robust flavour. The vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon (c.68%), Merlot (c.22%), Cabernet Franc (c.5%) and Petit Verdot (c.5%), cultivating in a powerful bouquet of fruit aromas and flavours that provide it with the enviable ability to be enjoyed young. But for those who are prepared to wait, the Château Cantemerle continues to develop graciously with age.
