With a name that translates as “chase away the blues”, Château Chasse-Spleen delivers big promises, and its breath-taking wine certainly does not disappoint. Typically dark coloured and full-bodied, Chasse-Spleen includes a lavish concoction of plump black fruits, piquant minerality and occasional dashes of chocolate. This alchemic combination of flavours is the result of a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (c.65%), Merlot (c.30%) and Petit Verdot (c.5%) which is matured in 40% new oak barrels for 18 months before being bottled unfiltered. One of the leading estates in Moulis, Chasse-Spleen have continued to create noteworthy wines that grow from strength to strength.

The 2022 Chasse-Spleen is a huge, dense wine. Blackberry jam, chocolate, licorice, dark spice and leather are all dialed up in this opulent, decadently rich Moulis.
