The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Village is aged in 25% new oak. There s bright red berry fruit, light sous-bois and a hint of potpourri blossom on the well-defined nose. The palate is medium-bodied with powdery tannins. Modest depth, cohesive with a gradual crescendo on the finish; this is definitely a level up from the previous vintage.

Cask sample. As always from this top-class Nuits address, the village wine over-delivers (and even more so in this vintage). Dark-cherry fruit, touch of damson on the palate. Good weight, concentrated and long with fine tannins and elegant use of oak. Not at all edgy - all the components are in the right place. GV (AWH)
