The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Murgers 1er Cru comes from a vineyard most affected by the frost the previous vintage, so this year, there were 12 barrels instead of four. Matured in 60% new oak, the pretty bouquet has brambly red fruit, forest floor and light crushed stone aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and a little more weight than the preceding Vosne Chaumes. There s gentle grip with a dash of black pepper on the finish. Drink over the next 15 to 20 years.
