Aromatically complex and lusciously concentrated, Château Coutet creates dreamy wines that are imbued with aromas of white blossom, citrus, honey and vanilla. Its unique positioning between the Garonne River, Atlantic Ocean and Landes Forest has resulted in an unusual microclimate that sees persistent morning mists and afternoon warmth which helps with the spread of Botrytis to deliver the wines potent sweetness. Cultivated within beds laden with clay and limestone, the coolness of the soil, matched with a one-of-a-kind microclimate has seen the production of a lively, youthful wine. Planted with Semillon (c.75%), Sauvignon Blanc (c.23%) and Muscadelle (c.2%), this trusted blend displays Coutet as a staple for sweet wine lovers everywhere.

The 2015 Coutet is pale lemon colored with intense grapefruit, lemon pie and pineapple notes with touches of crushed rocks, honeycomb and lime zest plus a waft of orange blossoms. Rich, opulent and layered with loads of tropical and citrus notes, it has wonderful freshness, finishing long.

Tasted blind. Floral botrytis notes plus richness and glorious sweet satin texture. Rather burnt-sugary but lovely finish. Not too sweet – very clean finish.
