Domaine Didier Dagueneau, Pouilly Fume, Pur Sang 2019

Domaine Didier Dagueneau

Case Format: 6x75cl

Based in St Landelin in the Nièvre, Didier Dagueneau, a world-famous winegrower, left his mark on the Pouilly Fumé appellation. Considered by many the “Pope of Sauvignon”, he created legendary cuvées of incredible purity of expression. At the same time, he distinguished himself in the South West on the Jurançon vineyard by creating the Les Jardins de Babylone estate on the hillsides of the village of Aubertin, and renowned for the particular vivacity of these wines. He died in 2008 in a tragic plane accident, this genius winemaker and disciple of Henri Jayer has not been forgotten. It is now his daughter Charlotte Dagueneau and his son Louis-Benjamin Dagueneau who took over the torch of this exceptional domain. The elitist but also artisanal spirit of the Dagueneau estate is thus carried on.
