Lovely sulphide lift to the nose and no shortage of ripeness on the nose – although the palate reveals a certain leanness. This is one of those less-than-fully-ripe vintages that Burgundy can withstand for its whites but you need to be a member of the club. Good balance and a really complete wine very much in the Leflaive style but no-one will lust after it. Another bottle was just far too astringent however.
