At Glenmorangie, they have been crafting their single malt since 1843, when farmer William Matheson and his wife Anne followed their dreams and founded the Glenmorangie Distillery. Their whiskey makers have been dreaming up wondrous whiskies in the very same spot ever since. The water that comes from the nearby Tarlogie Springs is unusually rich in minerals, which helps to make their whisky so fruity. To ensure the integrity of their malt, they only use 100% Scottish grown barley, including grain from their own fields.
