CRITIC REVIEWS
Susan Hulme MW
The 2015 Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia is bright, bold and forthcoming in contrast to the classic reserved, elegant style of wine usually preferred at Tenuta San Guido with the 2015 vintage producing a bigger, richer type of wine. It has lots of ripe fruit, charm and appeal with aromas and flavors of blackberry, cream and toast. 2015 was a hot vintage and Carlo Paoli said it felt a little surreal in its intensity. He added that thankfully as 2014 had been so wet the vines had built up good water reserves to withstand the heat. 2015 was a vintage much loved by the critics for its intensity and ripe fruitiness.

Lustrous mid ruby. Ripe dark fruit reflecting this warm vintage but with intrinsic freshness and finely chiselled tannins. (WS)
