One of Gaja’s three famous single vineyard Barbaresco wines. Produced in tiny quantities. A long lived showstopper. This wine shows charming aromas of essential oils, notes of sandalwood, cinchona, oleander, laurel and almond tree. It is complex and deeper on the nose, with a persistent cedar note. Sweet fruits aromas such as white melon, pear, coriander, sage and other aromatic herbs. It is well-structured in the mouth, combined with a refreshing acidity.

Sori Tildin is a lofty south-facing site located above another of Gajas three single vineyards, Costa Russi. It shows delightful purity of fruit and fragrance on the nose, with lifted and fresh raspberry aromas. Although suave and velvety on the palate, there are robust and assertive tannins beneath the fruit. This has tension and gravitas, more so than Costa Russi in this vintage. Very long.

Barbaresco. From the Roncagliette cru. Tasted blind. Mid ruby with orange tinges. Brooding richness on the nose and ripe marasca cherry fruit on the palate with just the right dose of supple acidity. Elegant palate weight and intense fruit that is not heavy. Almost aromatic on the finish and with bitter-sweet, fine tannins adding a nice contrast. Quite gorgeous. (WS)

Cru Wine stores all its wines in-bond with LCB Eton Park. Deliveries to private customers within mainland UK are charged at £18 plus VAT, utilising London City Bond (LCB) transfer. This excludes Northern Ireland, Islands and Highlands. Deliveries outside of the UK Mainland will incur additional delivery charges, we will contact you to advise after your order has been placed.

This also applies to wines which are currently En Primeur as these are not available for immediate delivery. Storage charges will apply if you choose to store your wines with us.
