Joe Czerwinski
Dark ruby in color, with just a bit of lightening at the rim, the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon offers up striking aromas of damp moss, loam and black cherries, framed by hints of cedar and vanilla. Its medium to full-bodied, rich and velvety in feel, with a long, complex finish redolent of dried spices. It should drink well for at least another decade, probably more.

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon, with 10% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot in the blend, is deep garnet colored. A little closed to begin, it opens out to notes of warm cassis, Morello cherries, and mulberries, followed by hints of lilacs, cast-iron pan, and underbrush. The full-bodied palate is refreshing, with a plush texture featuring bright red and black fruit layers, and impressive restraint on the finish of this very classy wine. 4,922 cases were made.
