40 of the 210 vine-growing hectares on the Vega Sicilia estate are used to produce Unico, which spends at least ten years between barrel and bottle, representing one of the longest ageing processes in the world. This incredible terroir, influenced by the Douro River and the unique ageing process, make their wines timeless when they age. A unique and timeless taste that has elevated it to among the aristocracy of the great classic wines.

It offers an infinite complexity that is gradually revealed, in every sip, the palate immensely silky and elegant, and has an ageing capacity that only a handful of wines in the world can claim.

Transparent crimson. Quite a bit paler than the 2012. Opulent, voluptuous and relatively evolved on the nose. Lifted, heady. Sweet molasses sensation. Rich and edgy. This has developed quite fast and is very Spanish (cf 2012). Essence of Tempranillo sculpted into a glass. Excellent acidity and vivacity.

Ive always liked the 2010 Único, and this magnum didnt disappoint me. It was a very good and complete year. The wine is still young and lively, but the primary aromas are starting to fade and the tertiary ones are coming out. This is a very elegant vintage of Único. 3,362 magnums were filled in June 2016. Cru Wine stores all its wines in-bond with LCB Eton Park. Deliveries to private customers within mainland UK are charged at £18 plus VAT, utilising London City Bond (LCB) transfer. This excludes Northern Ireland, Islands and Highlands. Deliveries outside of the UK Mainland will incur additional delivery charges, we will contact you to advise after your order has been placed.
When choosing your Shipping Method, if you would like to keep the wine stored in-bond, please select "1 Month Free Storage at LCB Eton Park". This also applies to wines which are currently En Primeur as these are not available for immediate delivery. Storage charges will apply if you choose to store your wines with us. If you would like your wines delivered, please select "Private Home Delivery in the UK". Duty and VAT will be applied if you choose to have your wines delivered to a UK address.
