The millennial Croft was blended by the Taylor's team who had just acquired the house. It has a warm, inviting bouquet with maraschino cherry, California raisin, burning embers in a winter fire and Tiptree strawberry jam. The palate has a mellow entry, a little more forward and generous than I anticipated a touch of Indian spice on the entry that fans out nicely across the mouth, supple and slightly honeyed towards the long finish. Lovely. Tasted May 2011.

This would have been made by the old Croft team before it was acquired by The Fladgate Partnership. Mid shaded blackish garnet. A little muddy on the nose. And notably dry and shortish on the palate. Underpowered. (JR)
