The 2013 Echo de Lynch-Bages is an absolutely delicious, entry-level wine bursting with sweet red fruit. Sweet floral notes add silkiness on the supple finish. This tasty, bistro-style red will be at its most expressive in its youth. The blend is 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot.

The second wine of Lynch Bages is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot (no Cabernet Franc since it was good enough for the Grand Vin.) The nose is light with stemmy black fruit whilst the palate is medium-bodied with slightly angular tannins and an off-dry tobacco finish. Fine. Tasted April 2014.
