The 2013 Le Petit Figeac has a light, gravel-tinged bouquet, not nearly as herbaceous as you might expect, but with fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, quite fresh, fine fruit concentration considering the vintage. Whilst not complex, this is a very decent showing for the Deuxieme Vin. Tasted at the vertical tasting in Berlin.

The 2013 Petit Figeac has a light, gravelly, rather sultry bouquet that displays a little more depth of fruit than the 2013 Le Petit Cheval that I tasted on the same morning. The palate is medium-bodied, a touch of dark chocolate on the entry, grainy tannin, not a deep wine but with an agreeable, savory finish. Drink this over the next 3-5 years.
