The 2015 Barolo is a terrific introduction to the year. Tasted from cask in a hypothetical blend, the 2015 has so much to offer. Dark cherry, plum, leather, spice and cedar notes add lovely aromatic nuance throughout. This pretty, delicate Barolo has quite a bit of character, especially within its peer group.

Restrained, old-fashioned Barolo, but without any funk or farm - it's more dusty and textural rather than fruit-driven. First peeps of complexity now - earth, leather - but this is overall quite backward. (RH)
