The 2018 La Réserve de Léoville-Barton is effusive and boisterous right out of the gate. The estate's second wine offers tons of immediacy, with scents of blueberry, pencil shavings, lavender and menthol open in the glass. The tannins are just a bit drying on the finish, so I would drink this sooner rather than later.

Tasted blind. Quite intense nose and polished tannins. A bit of glamour here. Quite long.
