CRITIC REVIEWS
Neal Martin
The 2019 Mauvesin-Barton has a rather backward nose without quite the same level of energy as its peers, therefore demands more coaxing from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with loose-tannins, fleshy and approachable yet missing some grip on the finish. Not bad, but certainly not best in class. Two bottles tasted, the second demonstrating a tad more fruit, yet still not as convincing as its peers. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting.

Tasted blind. Second bottle - better. More fruit, which is quite minerally. Not generous, but classically modelled. (JR)
