The 2019 Lacoste-Borie is bright, focused and wonderfully vibrant. This nervy, mid-weight Pauillac offers tons of near and medium-term appeal. Crushed flowers, spice and sweet red berry fruit linger.

62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Franc. Barrel sample. Cabernet cassis and graphite nose. Juicy and concentrated on the palate with just a hint of oak. Solid tannic frame behind. Dry, grainy finish. Serious little number. Probably GV. (JL)
