The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon wraps around the palate with substantial depth and textural intensity. Black cherry, plum, new leather, licorice and incense are all amplified in this potent, brooding Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2021 needs time to soften, but it is promising.

Full bottle 1,542 g. 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Merlot. Aged for 20 months in French oak barrels, 50% new. 5,051 cases produced.Blackish crimson. Not sweet! This is centred more on a dry, mineral axis, rather different from its peers. It finishes dry and seems a ready friend to food. The fruit/tannin balance seems pretty ambitious with tannins that will carry it through for many a long year, but they are ripe not hard work. Bone-dry finish. (JR)
