The 2021 Barolo Brunate is another potent, deep wine from Marengo. Spice, leather, tobacco, incense and gravel all run through this imposing Barolo. Broad shoulders hold it all together. The 2021 strikes me a a wine to drink over the medium term.

Very pale greyish ruby. Light but confident nose. High-toned. Already quite evolved. Well mannered rather than assertive. But certainly not one of the most dramatic 2021 Barolos. (JR)
