The 2021 Valpolicella Superiore Ruberpan wafts up with a florist shop bouquet that blends chalk dust with dried violets, lavender, charred wood and exotic spice. It displays textures of pure silk, supple and enveloping yet lifted and energetic, with crisp wildberry fruits and blue and purple inner florals resonating throughout. The 2021 leaves a coating of fine tannins and a peppery tinge, tapering off long and classically dry. A total pleasure to taste.
