The 2022 Barbera d'Alba marries the richness of the year with the classicism that runs through all these wines at this address. Succulent red cherry/plum fruit, spice, leather, menthol and blood orange fill out the layers. Soft contours wrap it all together.

Deep, lustrous crimson. Deep and pure with blackberry fruit. Great freshness, like this was harvested on a knife edge. Transparent and fluid and the 15% just adds a touch of viscosity. Super-fine tannins on the finish. (WS)
