CRITIC REVIEWS

The 2022 Nenin has mustered a tad more restraint and composure than when tasted from barrel. I would not describe it as amazingly complex, though it channels a kind of classicism that I appreciate, more so than other vintages. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins. Thanks to the expressive Cabernet Franc (36%) and graphite-infused finish, it's quite Left Bank in style. Afford this a couple of years in bottle.

64% Merlot, 36% Cabernet Franc. Cask sample.Deep crimson hue. Fresh and floral with just a hint of oak. Ripe core and smooth tannins with decent length on the finish. A touch warm but reasonable balance. Needs to knit. (JL)
