The 2022 Nenin has a clean and well defined bouquet, a mixture of red and black fruit, leather and graphite, with just a little Left Bank style. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, very harmonious, with a lovely silky texture on the finish. Probably this will not need quite as much bottle age. Seductive. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting in London.

Tasted blind. Rather muddy crimson. High toned. Rather simple and straightforward. Needs time to develop more allure? Furry tannins on the fairly long finish. (JR)
