CRITIC REVIEWS

The 2022 Nenin has mustered a tad more restraint and composure than when tasted from barrel. I would not describe it as amazingly complex, though it channels a kind of classicism that I appreciate, more so than other vintages. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins. Thanks to the expressive Cabernet Franc (36%) and graphite-infused finish, it's quite Left Bank in style. Afford this a couple of years in bottle.

Tasted blind. Rather muddy crimson. High toned. Rather simple and straightforward. Needs time to develop more allure? Furry tannins on the fairly long finish. (JR)
