The 2022 Saint-Pierre was tasted from two bottles, the first a little menthole, the second much fresher and vibrant with blackberry and bilberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, not quite as complex as I might have hoped, but with satisfying density on the finish. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting in London.

Tasted blind. Intense and minerally and almost charry. Then a very drying finish. Dry as a bone! Glamorous second bottle had more fruit so I changed it from 16.5 to 17. (JR)
