The 2022 Saumur is the 'domaine' wine, a blend of parcels aged for six months in a mix of foudres, stainless steel and old barrels. Compared with the taut 2021, this is a more supple style with charm while retaining precision thanks to no malo. A backbone of citrussy acidity brings a sensation of having a tautly pulled string, leaving a lemon, apple and subtle pastry characters on the medium-length finish.
