The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Jouises Vieilles Vignes is matured in 20% new oak with 80% whole bunches. The stems work really well here - nicely defined, very fresh, a little tertiary at first - not intense fruit, but not overwhelmed by the stems. The medium-bodied palate offers supple tannins and fine acidity, very harmonious, finishing with a dash of spice. Kind of old-school Gevrey in the best sense of that expression.
