The 2022 Rosso di Montalcino bursts from the glass with masses of crushed raspberry, cedary spice and red licorice. It is soft-textured and juicy in style yet packed full of primary fruit. Tactile mineral notes frame the experience beautifully. The 2022 finishes with admirable length and a lingering tart cranberry concentration.

Lustrous mid ruby. Perfumed, deep cherry nose with a hint of complex oak and just the beginning of tobacco leaf. Lush, succulent fruit and polished tannins on the palate. Long and deep and clearly from a hot year, but well balanced. Overachiever. (WS)
