CRITIC REVIEWS

The 2023 Saint Véran La Roche comes from the oldest vines on the estate, around 70 years old, that tend to suffer millerandage. Raised in barrel, it has a rocky, almost chalky bouquet that perhaps does not have the flair or complexity of the à la Côte cuvées. The palate is charming with pure nectarine and clementine notes on the entry and well-pitched acidity. A subtle spicy note emerges towards the finish, which shrugs off the reduction after a couple of minutes. Good potential.

Creamy citrus, pure and scented. Chalky-mineral, too. Really creamy texture, generous, bright, fresh citrus fruit. Straightforward, pure and persistent. GV (JH)
