CRITIC REVIEWS
Neal Martin
The standout cuvée from last year is followed by a very fine 2023 Pommard les Epenots 1er Cru. This is more delineated and fresher on the nose with brambly red fruit, sous-bois and just a hint of truffle. The palate is medium-bodied, tart and fresh with crunchy red fruit, a fine bead of acidity and a grippy finish that delivers more elegance than the other cuvées. It is a little peppery on the aftertaste. This is worth hunting down.
