The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Pruliers 1er Cru showed slightly less reduction than the other cuvées, revealing brambly red fruit, loamy scents and just a hint of wild mushroom. The palate is medium-bodied with a ripe, slightly lactic entry. There's a fine bead of acidity here, sorbet-fresh with marmalade and desiccated orange peel notes toward the finish. This has fine length and should age with style.

Bright, transparent crimson. Sweet start - I'd say not worth the premium over the Vieilles Vignes. A little bitter on the end. (JR)
