The 2024 Never Been Asked to Dance is pure Chenin from the fourth oldest vines in the Cape that, at one time, were going to be pulled out, whole bunch pressed and aged in 600-litre Stockinger barrels. This is compelling on the nose with yellow fruit, dried honey and light chamomile scents that blossom in the glass. The palate is taut and fresh, more about the texture than overt fruit flavours, with light touches of stem ginger and a linear finish. Very fine, but give it time in bottle.
