Hmm - a rather superficial nose with lots of oak but not much substance underneath. Notes of liquorice and prune. The palate is better with some sweet, savory black fruits. Quite meaty and Rhone-like but it lacks fruit concentration on the finish. Drink from 2006-2009. Tasted May 2005.

Dark crimson with evolved rim. Classic, well-mannered nose. Quite inky fruit but no great intensity. The inkiness will probably always be like there. Serve with chewy meat!
