(0) Deep ruby-red. Classic Rioja aromas of sweet cherry, redcurrant, leather and game, with hints of nuts and iron. Quite stylish on the palate, with pliant, deep flavors of sweet red fruits and nutty, cedary oak. Nicely integrated acids give this ripe wine a distinctly juicy quality. Long on character. More satisfying than most bodegas' offerings from better vintages than '97, and a great value.
