The 2010 Dom Pérignon Rosé is airy, tense and wonderfully crystalline, as it has always been. Chalk, white pepper, slate and finely chiseled fruit are the signatures. The 2010 is a svelte, nervy Dom Pérignon Rosé, a Champagne that impresses more with persistence and focus than with obvious size or weight.

Full bottle 1,638 g. Released commercially in 2026. Blend of 44% Chardonnay and 56% Pinot Noir in total (including 11% red wine). (In the mid 1990s it was 15-18% then in the mid 2000s, as a result of the focus Richard Geoffroy was putting on Dom P rosé, it reached 28% but has been reduced since then.) They invested in a new winery in 2006-2008 with very small vats and burgundy-style pigeage for the reds. They started a programme to re-select red wines for Dom P and the wine now comes from 30 or so hectares in Hautvillers, Aÿ and Bouzy. They ve been busy identifying the best plots, best clones and best raw material so this 2010 is the result of long research.Extremely detailed with notes of toasted almonds and candied cherries yet with great focus and linearity so it certainly isn t in any way sweet. Wonderfully nuanced and satisfying with, still, great refreshment and apparent youth! Very persistent with a peacock s tail of flavours on the end.
