The 2013 Charmes-Chambertin is all about sensuality. Silky tannins shape a textured, resonant Charmes that should drink well with minimal cellaring. Bright stone fruit and sweet floral notes are nicely pushed forward in this pretty, super-expressive Burgundy.

The 2013 Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru has a well-defined, mineral-driven bouquet that expands wonderfully in the glass, a very typical Charmes for the vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp, lithe tannin interlaced with pretty dark cherry and citrus fruit. The finish is wonderfully poised with great length. This is one of David Croix's best 2013s.
