The 2013 Vintage is a wild, exotic beauty. Apricot, passion fruit, lemon confit, marzipan, baked apple tart and a kiss of French are all amplified in a dramatic, vivid Champagne that captures all the pedigree of this great vintage. The 2013 is wonderfully complex and dynamic from the very first taste. Time in the glass brings out layers of dimension and captivating nuance. This is a fabulous effort. Krug ID: 124011

ID 124011. One of the last late harvests, and (in mid 2026) the last October harvest. 41% Pinot Noir, 38% Chardonnay, 21% Meunier. Sur lattes until winter 2023/24, released 2026. Dosage 5 g/l.Orange blossom on the nose, but prismic exactitude on the palate. More intensity than power. Blood oranges, a pencil sketch in praline, marmalade richness tucked into hidden corners, neroli fluttering on the outskirts. It s helix. A wine that is a bit like a very complex mathematical equation that is being confidently, precisely chalked out on a board, and you have no idea what language is unfolding in front of you - all you know is that it is beautiful and that, in the end, all these symbols and numbers will add up to an answer for which the simplicity exquisitely defies everything that brought it to this moment of: yes, this is it.
