The 2017 Chambertin Grand Cru has a deep, broody bouquet of blackberry, briar, black tea and damp earthy aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit and a fine bead of acidity, and quite saline in the mouth. The open, slightly fleshy finish leaves orange peel lingering on the aftertaste. This is a fine Chambertin, although not necessarily Dujac s best Grand Cru this year.

The 2017 Chambertin Grand Cru is one of the most exciting wines in the Dujac cellar this year, offering up a classy bouquet of rose petal, orange rind and red berries framed by creamy new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and satiny with a pure and lively core of fruit, superb depth and persistence and juicy balancing acids. It's a supple but intense rendition of this tiny two-barrel cuvee.
