The 2019 Barolo Ginestra Casa Mate is a classy, elegant wine. Beams of tannin and bright acids give the 2019 its vertical feel. This classically built, austere young Barolo is going to need time to be at its best. Dark-toned fruit, spice, leather, licorice and a host of balsamic-infused notes build into the potent finish. This has potential to grow.

So perfumed! Slightly oaky but otherwise very clean and fresh. Notes of liquorice. Dry, but not drying, finish. (JR)
