The 2021 Almaviva (71% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Carmenere, 5% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot) reveals a distinctly Chilean profile with time, marked by green herbal notes, menthol and ripe fruit, with more pronounced pyrazines. The palate is indulgent, plush and moderately rich, with a slight alcoholic warmth and a dark-fruited core. It is slightly clingy but well executed within its style. This vintage is notably defined by its balance between freshness and ripe fruit expression.
