CRITIC REVIEWS

The 2022 Sociando-Mallet has a pleasant blackberry and bilberry-scented bouquet, touches of gravel and tobacco coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with a slightly sour opening, moderate depth and a bit of a chewy finish. This wine often does not show its best in peer-group blind conditions and I think this might be the case here. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting in London.

Tasted blind. Deep crimson. Rich and sweet. But good freshness, too. Very appealing! Smooth and alluring. GV? (JR)
