The 2023 Côte de Brouilly Brulhié offers a mélange of redcurrant, blackberry and 5-spice scents on the nose, more complex than the preceding vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with mainly red fruit, tinged with tangerine and black pepper. It just tapers a little towards the finish, where I would have liked more flesh and rondeur; otherwise, enjoy this over the next five to seven years.
