The 2024 Girl Next Door is pure Syrah from two sites that include 50% whole bunch with two weeks on the skins and ten months in 1,800-litre foudre. This has a very intense nose with dark berry fruit, cracked black pepper and flinty scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine backbone, black pepper and curry leaf, classical in style with another Cornas-like, muscular, quite saline finish. This is a serious, complex and quite delicious Syrah that will age beautifully with time.
