Château Angélus Dinner at 67 Pall Mall: A Night to Remember with Cru Wine
On 3 December 2025, we welcomed a select group of collectors and long standing clients to the Château Angélus dinner London 2025, hosted in the private St. James Room at 67 Pall Mall.
The setting was perfect: candlelit tables, festive touches, and the warm buzz of conversation that only comes when passionate wine lovers gather under one roof.
A sparkling welcome to our Château Angélus dinner in London
Guests arrived from 7.30 p.m., greeted with a glass of Champagne Charles Heidsieck. The atmosphere settled quickly into a relaxed, convivial mood that carried through the evening.
By 8.00 p.m., everyone was seated as the 67 Pall Mall sommelier introduced the first two wines of the night: Carillon d’Angélus 2019 and Carillon d’Angélus 2015. This opening flight offered a clear snapshot of Carillon’s personality and evolution, setting up the evening beautifully.
Introductions and a special guest at our Château Angélus dinner
Our CEO, Gregory Swartberg, welcomed guests, thanked them for their continued trust, and outlined the structure of the dinner. He also expressed our delight in hosting Stéphanie de Boüard of Château Angélus, who travelled from France to join us for this special occasion.
Stéphanie’s introduction became an instant highlight. She shared personal stories from her youth at the estate, reflected on the evolution of Angélus through the decades, and explained the philosophy behind Carillon d’Angélus as a wine crafted with its own distinct identity. Her anecdotes from the 1950s vintages were particularly enjoyed by the room.
Beautiful pairings and relaxed conversation
The first course, a finely prepared Angus tartare, paired seamlessly with the two Carillon vintages.
The main course followed with an outstanding beef fillet, served alongside the centrepieces of the tasting: Château Angélus 2010 and Château Angélus 2015. Together, they offered a fascinating look at the estate’s stylistic range. The 2010 showed structure and depth, while the 2015 impressed with ripe fruit and immediate charm.
Dessert arrived as a generous spread of British and European cheeses, the kind of board that encourages guests to keep tasting, comparing notes, and enjoying the wines well into the evening.
A memorable finale
Just before the night drew to a close, Stéphanie presented a final surprise: a double magnum of Château Angélus 2008, opened and shared with the entire room. It was a warm and generous gesture that captured the spirit of the evening perfectly.
Gregory closed the night by thanking Stéphanie for her insight and hospitality, and thanking our clients and guests for making the evening so special. Around 11.30 p.m., guests began to depart after what many described as an intimate and truly unforgettable Cru Wine experience.
